Haiku is an an epigrammatic Japanese verse form of three short lines. Over the years, because of its compactness and beauty, it has attracted authors other than Japanese too. Its English version has been adopted and adored by many authors. Now with my joblessness being on an all time high, I penned down some of my random thoughts in the form of Haiku. Well, technically not all of them qualify as Haiku, but whatever they are, I hope you'll enjoy them.
1) A few muscles
A small effort
A photographic smile.
2) I wore a coat over 'my favorite' shirt.
People liked it
I can't put it off now.
3) I fed it
3) I fed it
I made it strong
It made me strong
We incinerated our own house.
4) Centuries of hard work
The favorite creation created back
A delusive creator.
PS: Well, I know they are not incomprehensible or something, but I would like to point out that the 2nd one is referring to superficiality, 3rd one is referring to technology and my favorite, 4th one, is referring to how over the centuries, man has distorted the whole perception of God.
*Applauds*
ReplyDeleteNever knew something like this existed.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant stuff!
3rd one's lovely.
ReplyDeletecan't still get the 4th one :O
Thanks for all the praises.. :)
ReplyDeleteWell fourth one is referring to how the favorite creation of God, i.e, man has distorted the way people perceive God. Hindus worship idols without paying heed to what is the actual meaning of Idol Worship. Muslims have started Jehad in the name if God which has transformed to terrorism. Christianity has already been mocked all around the world by many authors and film makers for the inherent flaws in it..
I am writing something about this whole perception of God thing..will post it soon.. :)
Thanks again..
I meant Muslims have started Jehad in the name 'of' God.
